Flickr has done some minor tweaking to their page design, mainly making the photos larger. But a nasty side effect is that most photos can't be right-clicked to save, which basically puts me out of business (yes, I know I could screenshot, but it adds about 2 extra clicks, which is about enough extra work for me to determine it's too much and just go get a snack instead).
I tweeted my displeasure at this new development and how it means the best option for Sorry I Missed Your Party to continue is for me to simply draw stick figures based on the photos. My whines were rewarded in the form of a MS Paint drawing, provided by my best fake internet friend Doug. Thanks, Doug!
Behold, the future of Sorry I Missed Your Party:

Looks like you can do it in one extra click. Click like before and you get the pop-up menu. View a specific size. Then click on that one and you get your regular browser pop-up menu.
Alternatively, turn off JavaScript and reload the page, and you're fine as well.
Naa, no problem. What browser are you using? Firefox or Chrome? Then you have support for Greasemonkey-scripts. These little things make it possible to apply java-script code to a web page after it is loaded. So, just wait a week and I'm sure some nice hacker have created a Greasemonkey-script to make it possible to download straight away from Flickr again.
There's a nifty thing called oEmbed to that flickr also has where you can se the link i clear text...

Why is the guy with dreadlocks wearing a dress? In lieu of the actual photo, I am going to need you to step up your MS Paint game!
How is mspainting a picture less work then taking a screenshot
Loading without Javascript is a good idea. The Greasemonkey extension is good too but you'll have to wait for someone to upload a solution to this particular problem.
Alternatively, you can use a couple other Firefox extensions to remove the extraneous crap that's not letting you interact directly with the images *right now* rather than waiting for a Greasemonkey script.
In the extension Stylish add a custom stylesheet for flickr.com and add:
#photo_notes { display: none !important; }
This will hide those annoying comment boxes over the image.
Then using the extension Adblock, block this image:

Not the most elegant solution, I know, but I just did this and it works.
That mspaint is fairly representative of the better pictures here
if you're using firefox, do this:
1) right click, "view page info"
2) select "media", then click on the image url and save it. easy!
What Filament said.
i'm a BIG fan of ms paint myself.
Maybe Sorry I Missed Your Party could merge with MS Paint Party to become Sorry I Missed Your MS Paint Party.
There's a Firefox add on that lets you drag pictures and it saves them. I think it's Easy DragToGo.
My world would just be devastated if you don't continue. Who would I then lust after as the ideal fake internet woman?
i get alot of links to my tumblr form here. just saying...
I'm using Google Chrome, and I discovered that you can click on the photo, drag it to the address bar and voila! Save image as... you may appreciate the photo I did this with: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2655/3905200346_d6df284522.jpg
