Ice rinks, like golf courses, are not so easy to gain access to when you are poor and black. Accordions, on the other hand...no problem. Hence Zydeco, the rave/house music of rural black Louisianians during the middle of the last century. Maybe the coming wave of global impoverishment will get Black Americans back in touch with some of these cool instruments that require no electricity or copyright clearances to jam on.

See this isn't so uncommon where I'm from. Zydeco music is commonly played by those of both Cajun AND Creole herritage.
Maybe other people would find this one amusing but it's a common sight to those of us in this wacky, boot-shaped state :)
redstickredhead: Good to know that both the accordion and fatness know no cultural bounds in Louisiana.
The Pens used to have a black player. I'm not sure who he plays for now.

3rd person to point out Laraque (Monsieur Cheveux and Jess were first).
