Stanley Cup

Did you know that the Stanley Cup hockey trophy goes "on tour" throughout the year? Each member of the team gets a day with the trophy. Some Detroit Redwings player decided to use his day with the cup to use it as a baptism font for his cousin's baptism. But mainly, it just makes appearances at various sports bars, where people can hold it, drink out of it, and party with it.

I have a friend who used to work for an NHL team. He claims the Stanley Cup has been a part of many unholy things throughout the years. Things so bad that he would never drink from the cup, no matter how well it had been cleaned.

Todays fun fact:

Did you know there are actually two copies of the Stanley Cup? One that's kept traveling at all times and the other that is held at the hockey hall of fame with all of it's rings. Also, Detroit sucks.

You are not supposed to touch the Cup if you haven't won it. Which is why I have never touched it, even though I've been near it. How do I know I won't own an NHL franchise some day, and why would I want to screw it all up?
